Style It Yourself: Christmas au Naturale

I’m so excited to share my big news — I’m taking on a guest writer to join me for the next year here on Beautiful Revelry. I’m so insanely excited! I thought that I’d introduce her to you along with what she’ll be sharing with us this month. Are you ready?

Meet Marie Maglaque from Etincelle Creative Studio. Marie recently moved to Tokyo, and has been on a roll ever since. I was instantly impressed by her vision for 2013, and thought that she would be perfect to come on board here to share her styling tips regularly. Her column will run monthly, and it will be called "Style It Yourself".

"Merry Christmas" on the wall made with mt tapes. Use mt tapes as much as you want as it's easy to use, and change afterwards. Be creative!

Marie, a French stylist, mother and wife will share her inspirations and ideas for party and/or prop styling. It will be fun for just about anyone who's looking to put together a pretty picture, because her works are always simple to follow, while being such a treat to the eyes.

Marie, like me, loves pretty props so no doubt you’ll always be offered beautifully styled images! So without further ado, I'll leave you with this first job that she shot for this post to demonstrate to you exactly what she plans to do in the months to come.

Branches collected at the park and spray painted white - it could have been gold too!

The use of twine, kraft paper and wooden tags help create a rustic atmosphere.

Pine cone form the flower shop, but an easy DIY if you happen to have a pine tree nearby... collect the pine cones and spray paint them! Alternatively you can hand-paint the edges in white or gold {as seen on Pinterest here}.

I can never get enough of Marie's signature Matryoshka dolls.

Table cloth: handmade using fabric from the market
Paper straws, wooden gift tags, twine and paper favor bags from Beautiful Revelry (Happy Shopping Folks!)

Thank you Marie, for joining us on Beautiful Revelry. I look forward to your contributions in the coming year!

Marie is a fashion & jewelry designer, aspiring prop stylist and a party planner catching up with her passion for pretty little things that sparkle & shine. She's currently based in Tokyo, Japan, with her family. She runs a blog Etincelle Creative Studio where she can shares bits of her life, her travels, her finds and creations - also available in her online shop.
